Nails of the day: Essie Bikini So Teeny ♥

Hello! Today I have a NOTD post for you all :-)
I purchased Bikini So Teeny by Essie back in September but I've only recently started wearing it. This may come across as slightly negative but as soon as Christmas is over I just get so excited about Spring so I love pastel and bright shades!

This colour is super pretty, it's a lavender/periwinkle blue shade with a really, really fine micro shimmer. It is very opaque which is what I mainly look for in a nail varnish. Although I only own two Essie nail polishes as they are quite pricey (£8) they are by far my favourite nail polish brand. The brush is great too as its wide so it doesn't leave you with any visible streaks.
This was unfortunately a limited edition shade so its not available in stores anymore but I'm sure you can find this online!
Now onto some photos! Ignore the condition of my nails, they weren't filed very well, I know!

Wishlist: January 2013 ❥

Hello everybody!
I'm sure you all agree, there's a lot of pretty things coming in the shops at the moment, in particular Topshop and H&M. I really enjoy writing little wishlists whether I can afford the things or not so I thought I would share them with you.

1  MAC Stereo Rose Mineralize Skinfinish - £20.50

I have to be honest, I probably only want this because I haven't made a Mac purchase in a while and there's always so much hype about this one product when it is re-released in a limited edition collection which just makes me want it more, not to mention its shimmery pink with gold veining. The price however is pretty steep. This one might just have to stay on my wishlist but maybe I'll cave in.

2 Topshop basic neppy tee in khaki - £14

I've been obsessed with khaki recently, I just find it such a versatile colour. I am visioning this tee with just my black leather jacket, a pair of black leggings, some converse and bam! Outfit sorted. Again, I think the price is quite extreme for such a basic piece but I know I would get a lot of use out of something like this and as I received Topshop vouchers for Christmas, I think this would be a pretty good buy.

3 The Drums Portamento CD - £8

If you listen to The Drums, I love you and that is all. Seriously, they're my favourite band right now! I've been listening to them for about a year now but this album is just like perfect track after perfect track. You'll love them if you listen to bands like The Vaccines, The Maccabees, Bombay Bicycle Club etc (more faves of mine). My most played tracks have to be Days, Money, Book of Revelation and I also love Let's Go Surfing and The Future which unfortunately aren't on this CD. I strongly recommend having a listen,even if the album cover is slightly freaky!

4 -Topshop Martina T Bar Geek Shoes - £30

These are so cute its unreal. They are exactly like those little shoes your mum would force you to wear from Startrite when you were 4 when really all you wanted was a pair of lelli kellys except now I am obsessed with them, they're so vintage looking and pretty. They're also available in orange and white but I definitely prefer the black. I'm still 'um'ing and 'ah'ing about these, £30 isn't a lot but I've had pretty bad experience with Topshop shoes in the past (the studded flats) and I don't want to take the risk again!

5 - Maybelline Fit Me foundation - £8

I've noticed my ever so trusty Rimmel wake me foundation is running out and instead of repurchasing it, I want to try something new. I bought this for my mum for Christmas and she's really liking it, I swatched the 'Ivory' shade in boots today and it's a pretty nice match so if I do buy this, it might become my new favourite!

Lush Space Girl bath bomb

Hello everybody!
I received Space Girl for Christmas and was super happy because it's always been a favourite of mine. 
I just love the smell. Remember those palma violet sweets that you would always find in party bags? It's like them! It's perfect if you like sweet, candy smelling fragrances. 
You literally drop it in the bath and it fizzes at a nice speed, it resembles a rocket! I love how it erupts and makes a fizzing noise! Something I also was never aware of, I think it must be a new feature, is the popping candy. After I figured it wasn't my bath tub breaking, I found it rather cool! This is also one of Lush's cheapest bath ballistics at only £1.95. I would really recommend picking this up.
Hope you liked this mini review, as I have lots more Lush products to use would you guys like to see more?

MUA Review and Swatches

MUA is one of my fave drugstore makeup brands, ever, mainly because their products are only £1. They have also brought out a 'studio' line where the products are £2+, however I have stuck to their regular line. I thought it would be useful to do some swatches of these lovely products and tell you a little about them..

Eye products

Their eyeshadows are some of my favourite things from MUA simply for the pigmentation and creamy texture. They are definitely worth buying and I can't wait to buy some more. I also like the fact that there are different finishes on offer, including 'Pearl' and 'Matt'. I have 4 of them in shade 4 - a gorgeous shimmery lilac (Pearl), 2 - A golden icy white, perfect for a highlight (Pearl), 20 - A straight up matt black (Matt) and 12 - The most awesome colour, ever! In some lights it shows up green, some brown. Similar to MAC's Club (Pearl)..

Next is their liquid liners, I have shade 5 which is just a plain black. This is alright but I won't be purchasing it again as it's lasting power is awful and it is kind of flakey :( It was okay for a £1 but I think I'll invest in something a little better :)

The last eye product is their eye dusts. I only have 1 but I really, really like it! They are very similar to Barry Dazzle Dust, but a quarter of the price. I'm sure they are also comparable to MAC's Pigments. I have shade 5 which is a pretty, grey toned chocolate brown with subtle shimmer, very similar to MAC's Satin Taupe. The packaging isn't great for these because there is just one small hole in the top of the container which makes it kind of tricky to get the product out but other than that, this is great product and I need to buy some more!

Annonyingly I forgot to photograph this but pics will be up within the week :).

Face Products

The only face products I have tried from MUA are their blushers, which I bought mainly to boost my blush collection but I actually ended really loving them. I bought 2 althought I could have bought them all because they were all gorgeous! I bought Shade 4 (A pretty, shimmery, coral pink) and Shade 2 (A pale pink with very subtle shimmer). They are so silky and pigmented and I can't wait to try out some more :)

Lip products

I own 2 lipsticks from MUA and I like them both a lot, however they do have a few flaws.. They are decent pigmentation, fairly sheer but they do show up! I love the fact they are glossy as it makes them soooo moisturising, unlike a lot of mt other lipsticks. The packaging however, is awful because when you wind up the lipstick, it is really wobbly. At first I thought it was just mine but it turns out most of them are like that. Another flaw is they come across a bit too shimmery on the lips. They don't look that shimmery in the tube but they really are they make my lips look a tiny bit 'old lasy-ish!' Apart from that I do like them and I am sure I will purchase a few more. I have Shade 2 (A beautiful berry colour, with a lot of shimmer) and Shade 7 (A pinky coral shade).

So, overall I love MUA and except to see the brand popping up a lot more!

Burberry Body Fragrance Review!

Burberry have just launched their latest scent, 'Body' and I'm already a massive fan! It has been very hyped on the Internet recently due to them giving away a FREE 30ml bottle of the luxurious perfume to anyone that 'liked' their FaceBook page, so of course me (and my mum!) leapt at the chance. Although I end up liking most pefumes, this one is just gorgeous!
The scent is described as...
"A fruity composition that begins with notes of fresh green absinthe, peach and freesia. Roses and iris are in the heart, leaning on the base of sandalwood, cashmerean, musk, amber and vanilla."

It is definitely an all year round fragrance however I think it would be pefect for Autumn/Winter time because it is so musky.
It is very classic and feminine with a hint of vintage-ness to it - totally up my street!
I would definitely be buying this if it wasn't for the price (Something crazy like £70!) Maybe I'll just have to savour my baby bottle, for now!
As for the bottle, well, it's as beautiful as the scent itself :)
