OOTD: Floral shirt & Topshop Joni jeans

Hello beautifuls!
Today's post is a simple outfit of the day. Today was Father's Day and although we didn't go out I wanted to make an effort to look nice! Yesterday I finally purchased the Topshop Joni jeans after feeling like the only earthling who didn't already own them. I'm already in love. I think I may do a video quite soon on how I style them.

Nails of the day: Essie Bikini So Teeny ♥

Hello! Today I have a NOTD post for you all :-)
I purchased Bikini So Teeny by Essie back in September but I've only recently started wearing it. This may come across as slightly negative but as soon as Christmas is over I just get so excited about Spring so I love pastel and bright shades!

This colour is super pretty, it's a lavender/periwinkle blue shade with a really, really fine micro shimmer. It is very opaque which is what I mainly look for in a nail varnish. Although I only own two Essie nail polishes as they are quite pricey (£8) they are by far my favourite nail polish brand. The brush is great too as its wide so it doesn't leave you with any visible streaks.
This was unfortunately a limited edition shade so its not available in stores anymore but I'm sure you can find this online!
Now onto some photos! Ignore the condition of my nails, they weren't filed very well, I know!

Have you tried Essie? If so what's your favourite shade?
Tell me in the comments!

2013 memories jar ♥

Hello beautifuls, so happy it's Friday! Hope you all have a fabby weekend!
This evening I was feeling a bit creative. I'm sure you have all seen this idea floating around tumblr, twitter and other blogs and I thought it was the cutest idea ever. The idea is to basically fill the jar with good things/memories that happen over the year; you can write them on paper, tickets, pictures, anything and then on New Year's Eve you open it and see all the good things that have happened in the last 365 days.

It was so fun to make, this is what I used:
- A pattaks jar, lol!
- A Laura Ashley fabric sample
- Printed of lettering
- Red glitter
- Paperchase stickers

I downloaded the font off dafont.com - it is called 'brain flower'

The glitter was just from a craft store but it totally reminds me off Dorethy's ruby red slippers! I covered the lid in glue and and then the glitter because the lid said 'pataks' all over it, haha

My jar is now sat on my drawers proudly

I hope you enjoyed this short post and get some ideas!
Have you made one? Tell me in the comments!

Love you all, Britt
